Cooler Mater Hyper 212X Review

While reading on the many forums, people have recommend to get the Cooler master hyper cooler if you have done some over clocking with your CPU, but if that is not the case you might not get that much benefit out of a hyper cooler.

So to check that out I have done my own bench marking to see weather it is worth it to get the cooler master hyper cooler or not. 

The results were in favor of the hyper cooler, 

I have done a prime95 torture test, by testing the CPU for the maximum heat. 

My machine is a i7 6700 (non over clocked one) at stock speed of 3.4 ghz.

With Stock cooler 

Under the stress test condition it has gone from 29°C to 65°C in just the matter of seconds and for the 2 min duration I have run this test the one core even touched 70°C. After stopping the test it took good one min for CPU to get back to the normal operation temperature of 30°C.

With Cooler Master Hyper 212X 

The CPU was already running cooler at by 6°C's at around 24°C before starting preparation for this test. With minor load it was running at 26°C.

When the test it started the CPU temp. quickly climbed up to 51°C but with cooler master hyper 212X it remained there and even come down to 48°C as average core temperature. 

So with Hyper 212X there was a different of 6°C under normal condition and 20°C under the stress condition for a test which ran just for 2 mins.

With today's intelligent computing if your processor see a failure can occur due to rise in temperature it reduces the clock speed (hence performance) to protect your CPU from damage. So if you are using the stock CPU speed your CPU might not gonna fail due to high temperatures, but with reduce performance, but with cooler master 212X even in the stress condition you can expect a constant high performance.

A hyper cooler can be very useful for your power PC and it certainly made the inside of you PC looks very cool.
